Winter Outdoor Bedding Plants, Flower Bulbs, In-Door Plants

Winter is the time to plant your bulbs for Spring. The ground will be hard and cold, which is just what the bulbs need. Once nestled into the ground, they will benefit from Winter moisture. As the temperatures begin to rise, the bulbs will react. We highly recommend that you add plenty of organic compost, cow manure and peat moss to the beds that you plant the bulbs in. They will perform much better in the Spring, if you take your time to create softer, more fertile soil conditions. Our greenhouses always have lots of great bulbs to choose from. Choose from Tulips, Daffodils, Lilies, and so much more.

In addition to the great selection of bulbs, we also offer a wide range of gorgeous annual and perennial bedding plants. Our Winter collection includes both outdoor and indoor options. Your outdoor bedding flower options are considerably more limited in the Winter, than in the Spring and Summer. Still, Winter flowers truly help to provide some much needed color, during those snowy, cold days. Flowers such as snowdrop, camellia, cyclamen, pansies and ornamental kale all deal pretty well with Winters colder temperatures.

Winter is a great time to plant shrubs and trees. The temperatures or lower and moisture conditions are generally higher in Winter. When you first plant an outdoor shrub of tree, they benefit from those conditions. Winter is when the roots can grow, without the stress of those hot, dry Summer temperatures.
